Bairdwatson in partnership with Lanarkshire Enterprise Services Ltd are supporting three disadvantaged young people in their modern apprenticeship training. With a bursary of £2,000 per annum (2019-2021) to support costs, these young workers are able to afford all the necessary equipment and clothing to help them make a success of their apprenticeship.

Right Track
In 2019 Bairdwaton Charitable Trust awarded funds to support the work of Right Track in North Lanarkshire.
The “Accelerate” project actively seeks out young people between the ages of 15-18 who are invisible in their local communities, often not involved with statutory services, and are facing particular disadvantages ie exposure to alcohol & drug abuse, family joblessness, areas of high deprivation etc. Support is tailored to individual personal development goals, with activities including classroom tuition, employer visits, work tasters and work experience in various sectors and areas.
Girvan Youth Trust
In 2017 Girvan Youth Trust were awarded 3 years funding to develop a new innovative project “Project Search”. This project works with young people with disabilities in the South Ayrshire area.
